IT'S BUSINESS TIME!

IT'S BUSINESS TIME!

Day one - Manaiakalani

I had heard it would be intense, I could very well feel overwhelmed. ...it actually was ok.

I kept up most of the time and it was great to know we had support that we could draw on.

Having a class of year 2 children much of today did seem more useful for senior learners, however all learning and I took away something from everything.

I learn't quite a lot along the way for myself. The question is will I remember it...however it is rewindable learning and I have been scribbling in a wee notebook with a pencil!
...click the star it automatically bookmarks..'omnibox'....setting up docs...how to create a group  -direct add and then they don't have to click accept....sorting my drive...Ctrl C and Z and V....the explore button..citation..never use underline..insert a table on docs..colour the table borders...can remove the words on bookmarks..SM sandpit...remove.bg to remove extraneous background..

and this is what I made...

  1. Kia ora Sarah,
how exciting to read about your first day at DFI. I loved DFI when I did it last year and I learnt so much! I like that way you reflected on what you covered today and how you can use it.
And yes - whilst a lot of what you cover is easily applied in a Chromebook class with older learners you will find that your own digital fluency will assist you in your job - such as creating visually appealing newsletters as you have done. Ka pai to mahi.
I notice that your embedded doc is very small on your post. I can help you edit this when I am with you next week so that it fills the width of the post and then we can view your creation in its full glory!
I look forward to following you over the next 8 weeks as you continue this series of learning session.
